The awful truth

Pooh-pooh to these preposterous notions of high heels being bad for your health.

I knew it was a bad idea to buy these sandals. Yesterday I broke my little toe. It's twice its size, purple, and hurts like a Johnny Cash song. Now I walk funny.

Women! Keep your feet encased in improbable, towering patent-leather fortresses. It's just safer.

I feel so sorry for you!!

How did it happen? I do often feel like like platforms are actually quite safe some of my friends reaction to my 5" always make me feel sort of proud..just to be one of the girsl that can wear them with confidence and not wobble (?) around. I have never fallen in them, but they also say that completely flat shoes are bad for you as well.. ballet flats being the worst supposedly they offer no support at all.

So what else is out there??

I feel so sorry for you.. ouch.

I walked into something in a dark corner, and my little toe got punched in the face. Alas. I'm not sure how I'm going to get a pair of shoes on for the next few days. Oh dear. Bad things only happen when I wear flat shoes!

The only resort, when one's ankles or outfit protest against five-inchers, is to embrace the incoming mid-height heels. I have some dark red, rather prim two-inch sandals that will do the job nicely, though peversely they're just not as comfortable as my four-inch patent stilettos.

Argh! I just bought 2 pairs of that style of shoe yesterday! I'm only ever paranoid about hurting myself in heels - which is strange as I broke my foot wearing ballet flats, yet have ran away from thugs in 4 inch stillettoes...

It just goes to show that life is easier higher up.

Oh no - bad luck but it's true toe stubbing or stumping most common with flats!

I'm afrais your best bet for next week or so is birkenstocks (soz)

The worst blister I ever got was from a pair of sneakers.
